Gerbrand Hop has over 35 years of world-wide experience in the financial markets as an investment banker, venture capitalist and asset manager. He joined Bank of America in 1970 and moved to JP Morgan in 1974, where he held senior positions in Brussels, New York, Amsterdam, Paris, and London. In 1990 he was recruited by NatWest Bank where he became Chairman of Global Investment Banking until 1997. From 1997-2000 Mr. Hop served as Chairman of the European Investment Fund, a public/private partnership set up by the European Investment Bank, the 15-member European Union and 77 public and private financial institutions.  Since leaving the European Investment Fund, Mr. Hop returned to London to continue to act as an independent catalyst, creating and adding value to emerging industries and countries. He is the Chairman or Member of the Board of a number of ventures in Central & Eastern Europe, India, and North Africa.  He is a Dutch national, graduated in economics in Belgium, and is fluent in Dutch, English, French, and German.
