Over the last 22 years Sudeep Singh has successfully invested in emerging markets and managed through post-emerging market crisis periods generating superior rates of return for investors. Mr. Singh currently manages/advises on two emerging market funds.
Mr. Singh was formerly a Senior Portfolio Manager Head of emerging markets in London for Caxton Associates, L.L.C. Prior to joining Caxton, Mr. Singh served as Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Lotus Capital Partners, LLP, a $180 million emerging markets/global macro hedge fund and was a Senior Portfolio Manager for Sigma Capital, a London-based affiliate of SAC Capital Management, LLC.
Prior to joining Sigma Capital, he was the Head of Europe, Africa and Middle East (EAME) Proprietary Trading at J.P. Morgan/ Chase in London where he managed position limits in excess of $1 billion in emerging markets assets. He also held positions with Credit Suisse/ DLJ managing Emerging Markets Proprietary Trading for hard currency assets including trading of sovereign loans. At Salomon Smith Barney Mr. Singh was head of market-making for hard currency assets where he established their first debt arbitrage unit. Mr. Singh was a founding member of the Emerging Proprietary Trading group at J.P. Morgan where he managed large defaulted sovereign loan claims.
Mr. Singh holds an M.B.A., with specialization in Finance and Corporate Strategy, from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in Economics with a minor in Political Science from the University of Vermont.
